Missions

Our Lord Jesus said: “You will be my witnesses in Jerusalem, in all Judea and Samaria, and to the ends of the earth.” (Luke 1:8)

In response to Jesus’ command, we at Valencia Presbyterian Church are committed to sharing God’s love with others, both locally and around the world. Towards that end we partner financially, as well as in prayer and service, not only with our Presbyterian Church (USA) missionaries around the world, but also with numerous other mission organizations. We invite you to join us. Listed below are some of our mission partners. Where possible, we have provided a link to their websites so that you can find out more about some of the fantastic and exciting things they are doing to help fulfill Christ’s commission. We welcome your comments and support.

DOMINICAN REPUBLIC
Pastor Gary Weston dedicated the new church building in Brisas del Estes, Dominican Republic during a short-term mission trip to the area in February, 2007.

VPC has been working with the local missionaries in the Dominican for the past 5 years to raise funds for the new church. This building also includes a meeting & Sunday school room as well as a kitchen and bathroom.

HURRICANE KATRINA RELIEF
In April, VPC, along with the Rich-Mar Rotary, sent a group of 10 individuals to Bay St. Louis, MS to work with Lagniappe Presbyterian Church to continue in the recovery effort left over from Hurricane Katrina.
